Bill would let phone firms pay less rent

Phone firms have cut the rent they pay landowners to host masts by around £1billion since 2017, campaigners claim.
And the Protect and Connect campaign says sports clubs, churches and farmers will suffer more if the House of Lords passes a new bill on Wednesday.
Lib Dem deputy leader Daisy Cooper says the Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure Bill is unfair.
Rents have been slashed since the Electronic Communications Code came into force in 2017.
The Fox Lane Sports and Social club in Leyland, Lancs, says EE used to pay it £6,900 a year, now cut to £790. Secretary Kath Bradshaw said the income loss had been "devastating".
